Tools for Humanity (TFH) who developed the World App wallet, which has become incredibly popular and has users in more than 160 countries.
On Thursday, TFH Announced that the wallet has reached a major milestone with 2 million daily active users.
This increase in users coincides with the introduction of new data management tools for Worldcoin, a biometric cryptocurrency project founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.
Tiago Sada, TFH Product Head, expressed his excitement about this achievement and highlighted the real-world impact it represents.
According to TFH, the World App has consistently maintained an average of 7.1 transactions per second, demonstrating its transaction speed comparable to the most popular self-custodial wallets available.
The World App was launched in May 2023 and quickly gained traction, accumulating around 4 million downloads within a few months by November of the same year.
Based on TFH's data, the World App has processed over 70 million wallet transactions since its inception.
The impressive growth of the World App aligns with the introduction of two new privacy-focused features for Worldcoin.
The first feature allows users to revoke permissions for World IDs by permanently deleting their iris codes. This gives users greater control over their personal information.
The second feature involves in-person age verification checks at each humanness verification location, further enhancing security and privacy.
