Starknet Quantum Leap: Major Throughput Improvements are Here! - Starkware
Starknet is a layer 2 Ethereum scaling
solution scheduled to upgrade Quantum Leap on July 13. It will increase the
number of transactions per second, the upgrade will also make transactions to
confirm faster.
Starknet uses zkRollup technology for
its layer 2 blockchain. StarkWare is the company that develops Starknet.
Before the Quantum Leap upgrade Starknet on paper can process 1,000 TPS.
Starknet said in the official document of Quantum Leap that it wants to increase throughput by 10x.
“Starknet achieved a remarkable 10x increase in throughput by implementing the
Sequencer in Rust.”
So, Starknet aims to increase TPS to at
least 10,000 TPS.
Starknet is the fifth most popular
layer 2 scaling solution besides Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, and zkSync Era.
Starknet could potentially have an
airdrop this year in 2023.
