Ethereum is experimenting with the new ERC-404 standard.  This allows NFTs to be divided into fractions.  Multiple NFT owners can own and trade a fraction of an NFT.

Cryptocurrencies that run on Ethereum blockchain are known as ERC-20 tokens. They can be divided up to 18 decimal places.

NFTs on Ethereum use ERC-721, they are being sold as a whole and indivisible. That is why NFTs are called non-fungible token.

ERC-404 is in the middle between ERC-20 and ERC-721 tokens. ERC-20 is fungible token and ERC-721 is non-fungible token. ERC-404 enables fractional trading for NFTs

Pandora NFT collection is the first ERC-404 project launched in Feb 2024. It is the most valuable ERC-404.  As of Feb 13, 2024 Pandora has market cap of $205 million.
