Circle To Support Stablecoin on Polygon Testnet

Circle has announced a significant development by broadening support for its native USDC stablecoin on the Polygon PoS Amoy testnet, aiming to assist developers. 


The company took to its official X account to disclose this remarkable endeavor. 


In a recent series of posts on the social media platform, Circle announced the date for this support’s launch. 


The firm revealed that it will start the respective rollout on the 27th of this month. This will continue till the 30th of the next month.

This move will include the integration of USDC into the Polygon PoS Amoy testnet, with new addresses entering CCTP of Circle. 


Additionally, support for Polygon PoS Mumbai from the attestation API will cease after migration, and Faucet will no longer back USDC tokens on Polygon PoS Mumbai. 


However, users will be able to obtain USDC tokens on Polygon PoS Amoy, with Circle Mint addresses for deposits emerging on the 27th. 


Existing balances will remain unchanged, and programmable wallets will support Polygon PoS Amoy starting March 27th, while withdrawing from support for Polygon PoS Mumbai on April 11th. API access to Polygon PoS Amoy will be provided by the Smart Contract Platform by March 27th.
