Pump.fun, a memecoin launchpad built on
the Solana blockchain, has surpassed $100 million in cumulative revenue on
August 30, 2024.
This milestone was achieved within just
eight months of its launch, highlighting the rapid growth and popularity of
memecoins on the platform.
More than one million memecoins have
been created since the the platform launched in January.
Memecoin creators take a 1% fee on all
transactions on pump.fun.
Pump.fun allows users to create their
own memecoins for a small fee and list them on decentralized exchanges like
Raydium.
The platform has launched nearly 2 million tokens so far. Its success has inspired other blockchain networks to adopt similar models e.g. sunpump.
