What is Bitcoin halving?

Mining process is a method to mint new bitcoin. Satoshi Nakamoto wanted limited supply. Bitcoin issuance will gradually reduce until it becomes zero. First Bitcoin halving had block reward of 50 bitcoins. 

Every 4 years Bitcoin block reward will cut in halve. Currently 92% of bitcoins have been mined.
