Optimism Chart Is On Uptrend. Coinbase Announce A New Layer 2 Blockchain Called Base, Built On Optimism’s OP Stack.

Coinbase announced the launch of a new layer 2 blockchain called “Base”. It built using Optimism’s OP Stack. Base aims to attract million of new crypto users in the years to come. The testnet was launched on Feb, 23 2023. Base runs on Ethereum network offering security, low gas fees, and design support for developers. Developers can build dApps on Base network, dApps can get access to 110 million Coinbase users. Coinbase also announced the Base Ecosystem Fund to provide initial funding for projects that meet the criteria to develop dApps on Base. Coinbase says it has no plans to issue a new blockchain.
