Mythical Games is making a major move from Ethereum to Polkadot in order to launch their new web3 gaming ecosystem, called 'Mythos'.

On Mythos, gaming partners will have the ability to create their own chains and build the largest, most interconnected gaming ecosystem in Web3.

Despite achieving great success on Ethereum, with a user base of over 650,000 and more than 2 million downloads of popular games like NFL Rivals and Blankos Block Party, Mythical Games is transitioning to Polkadot due to its superior speed and scalability capabilities.

John Linden, the CEO of Mythical Games, confirmed this decision in a blog post, stating, "The choice to leave the Ethereum ecosystem is based on a combination of issues related to relatively slow transaction speeds, even with L2 roll-ups, which would ultimately hinder our plans to scale with our new games this year."

Alongside the switch to Polkadot, Mythical Games is also preparing for Polkadot's upcoming "2.0" upgrade and the global launch of NFL Rivals, the first blockchain game licensed by the NFL and co-created by Mythical Games.

The partnership between Mythical Games and Polkadot will streamline the process of creating custom chains for gaming partners, fostering a unified blockchain gaming ecosystem.

Björn Wagner, the CEO of Parity Technologies, expressed excitement about the collaboration, saying, "We are thrilled that Mythical Games has recognized the unique strengths of Polkadot, which allows projects to create their own ecosystems within Polkadot, including governance and treasury," in a recent post on Polkadot.

In addition, Mythical Games is enthusiastic about bridging the gap between blockchain gaming and traditional platforms by supporting a foundation that prioritizes scalability and compatibility with established web2 gaming norms, such as Epic Games Store compatibility.

As the web3 gaming giant makes the transition from Ethereum to Polkadot, users eagerly anticipate the launch of Mythos, which will pave the way for a vast and interconnected blockchain gaming.
