Hamster Kombat, once a leading tap-to-earn game on Telegram, has seen a decline in its user base, losing 86% of its users since August. The game's active monthly player count dropped from 300 million to just 41 million as of November 5, 2024.

This decline coincides with the rise of Paws, a newly launched Mini App on Telegram, which quickly gained popularity, reaching 20.5 million users in its first eight days.

The decline in Hamster Kombat's user base has also affected its token, HMSTR, which saw its price drop by nearly 70% from its all-time high. The game faced political backlash and rumors of bans in certain countries, further contributing to its decline.
