The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York has released a page on its website hoping for victims of fraud from Sam Bankman-Fried at FTX to come forward and inform them about court proceedings.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Danielle Sassoon has asked a federal court to allow her office. "Reasonable, accurate, and timely notice" to notify victims of FTX fraud While under Bankman-Fried's leadership, according to Sassoon, the government has proposed an "alternative plan" for alerting victims in FTX cases via an online notice published on January 6.
According to court filings. The number of victims in the FTX case has more than one million creditors. It made the use of conventional notification methods "impractical," and Judge Lewis Kaplan approved the request on the same day.
"If you believe you may have been the victim of fraud by Samuel Bankman-Fried, or 'SBF,' please contact the victim/witness liaison at the U.S. Attorney'sOffice," the notice states.
