  • ·       Next month's Shanghai upgrade will focus primarily on ETH withdrawal

  • ·       Developers plan to launch a public test network for shanghai upgrades at the end of the month, Feb

According to the Ethereum network's Core Developers Call, this upgrade of the Ethereum network will focus primarily on Ethereum withdrawal.

Shanghai is an upgrade that will allow network auditors to withdraw rewards from staking at this time that the Ethereum network has not been able to do so. Users will have access to the coins they have staked on the network. The upgrade on the Mainnet network is expected to be released again in March.

As a result of the upgrade of The Merge, the ETH network switched to a PoS algorithm, which changed its algorithm over the course of a month. This allows users to run nodes as transaction monitors on the ETH network by placing bets on ETH coins, but users will not be able to withdraw them.

ETH developers have also agreed not to add the Ethereum Virtual Machine Object Format (EOF) feature, which is also AETH's EVM feature, due to concerns that it could slow the shanghai upgrade further and will focus primarily on adding the ETH withdrawal feature.
