CoinGecko analysis revealed $26.6 billion in total crypto airdrops between 2020 and 2023

According to CoinGecko’s analysis between Jan 1, 2020 and Dec 16, 2023 crypto airdrops had been increased significantly and the top 50 airdrops distributed $26.6 billion in value.

 

These airdrops led by Uniswap, Apecoin, and dYdX.

 

Uniswap is the leader of the group. With $6.43 billion airdrop on September 16, 2020.

 

Uniswap is the first decentralized exchange. UNI tokens are governance tokens of Uniswap. Uniswap airdropped 60% of its total supply to community members. Uniswap airdropped 600 million UNI in total.

 

The second largest airdrop was Apecoin (APE) with $3.54 billion worth of tokens distributed on Mar 17, 2022. Follow by dYdX (DYDX) which distributed $2 billion worth of tokens on September 8, 2021.
