At Token2049 crypto event in Singapore, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson recently criticized Ethereum’s governance model, describing it as a “dictatorship” heavily influenced by its co-founder, Vitalik Buterin1. Hoskinson argued that Ethereum’s direction is too dependent on Buterin and a small group of core developers, which he believes undermines the decentralized nature of the network.

Hoskinson contrasted this with Cardano’s governance model, which aims to balance efficiency, effectiveness, and integrity through a system of delegated representatives and a members-based organization. He emphasized that this approach helps avoid the pitfalls of both Bitcoin’s perceived anarchy and Ethereum’s centralized decision-making.
