The Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) approved the world’s first spot Solana ETF on August 7, 2024.

The spot Solana ETF managed by QR Asset and with operations handled by Vortx is a significant innovation in the cryptocurrency investment space. It’s designed to track the CME CF Solana Dollar Reference Rate, providing investors with exposure to Solana through a regulated financial product.

This ETF is expected to start trading within approximately 90 days, pending for final approval from Brazil’s main stock exchange, B3.

This positions Brazil as a leading market for regulated crypto investments, potentially paving the way for similar approvals in other countries.
