Binance CEO Richard Teng said on
September 4, 2024 that Changpeng Zhao received a lifetime ban from managing or
operating Binance, not just years but he has been banned for a lifetime.
According to Binance’s plea agreement, Changpeng
Zhao (CZ), the former CEO of Binance, has been permanently banned from managing
or operating Binance crypto exchange.
This lifetime ban is part of a plea
deal with U.S. authorities, which also included a $4 billion fine for Binance
and a four-month prison sentence for Zhao.
CZ is expected to be released from
prison on September 29, 2024.
