60% of Americans use Visa for their credit card payment. As of September 6, 2023 Visa values $499 billion.

How does Visa works?

When a customer make a purchase using Visa, it will process the transaction between the customer’s bank (issuer) and send money to merchant’s bank (acquirer). Every $100 you a customer spend, Visa makes $0.25.

On September 5, 2023 Visa added a new pilot program to transfer USDC to its acquirers Worldpay and Nuvei using the Solana blockchain.

Previously Visa collaborated with crypto.com on a pilot test to transfer USDC on Ethereum blockchain.

Visa is experimenting with Solana blockchain because it wants to test stablecoin payment on high performance blockchain. Solana has high speed transactions and cheap transaction fees.
