Uniswap decentralized exchange began
charging a 0.15% fee on Uniswap website and wallet since October 17, 2023. According to Hayden Adams Uniswap’s
founder, only swaps that execute through Uniswap Labs will be charged with a 0.15%
fee.
0.15% swapping fee will be charge on
some cryptocurrencies including ETH,
USDC, WETH, USDT, DAI, WBTC, agEUR, GUSD, LUSD, EUROC or XSGD.
Hayden Adam said he will used income generate
from swapping fees to continue development of Uniswap.
“This interface fee is one of the lowest in the
industry, and it will allow us to continue to research, develop, build, ship,
improve, and expand crypto and DeFi. This year alone (so far!) we released an
iOS wallet, Android wallet, UniswapX, major improvements to our web app,
Permit2, Uniswap v4 draft codebase, and more!”
On October 20, 2023 UNI token price
hits new low. UNI token price decreases from $4.1397 on October 17 to $3.95 on
October 20, 2020.

Uniswap community thinks Uniswap
ignores token holders because new 0.15% fee is unilateral action imposed by
Uniswap. UNI tokens are meant to be governance tokens.
