The number of EOS EVM chain suddenly
spike to more than 1 million transactions on Dec 9, 2023 according to Bitquery and Wu Blockchain.
According to EOS Network Foundation, EOS EVM’s network has seen a sharp increase in transactions as a
result of the EOS Inscriptions.
EOS Inscription was launched on December 8,
2023. It is a decentralized application that allows users to write messages to
the EOS EVM chain. It attracted many users to write messages on the EOS EVM
chain.
Previously the blockchain had been barely used.
EOS originally developed by a company
called Block.One with Dan Larimer as the lead developer and he was Chief
Technology Officer. He has a net worth of $600 million according to Forbes.
EOS raised $4.2 billion in Ethers during
the ICO in 2018. block.one stopped developing EOS after the ICO. Block.one has made
a transition from developer of EOS to an investment fund.
Now EOS is run by the community. One of
the main developers of EOS is EOS Network Foundation. EOS’s community has upgraded EOS
into EOS EVM chain to make it easy to develop on EOS. Users can use MetaMask
and developers can use EVM to build dApps on EOS.
