On October 31, 2023, Solana Labs
announced the beta launch of a blockchain game development tool called GameShift.
What does GameShift offers?
-Game developers can integrate GameShift’s
API to integrate with Solana blockchain without the need to write blockchain
code in Rust. Solana has high throughput and cheap transaction fee.
-It enables game developers to mint
in-game assets. There is a marketplace to support listing, purchase, and
trading in-game assets.
-It supports U.S. dollar payment to
purchase in-game assets. It supports global credit card payment to more than
170 countries and no cryptocurrency payment needed.
-GameShift comes with self-custody wallets. Users have full control of assets on their wallets.
