Cardano, a
popular blockchain platform, has seen a significant surge in usage with 64.6
million transactions in just one week.

Global (IOG), the company behind Cardano's research and development, recently
released its weekly development report covers various aspects of the platform,
including technology, wallet and services, smart contracts, Basho Scaling, and
governance.
The report
announced the launch of IOG's light wallet platform, Lace 1.0, on the mainnet
on April 11, 2023. The desktop version of Lace, DApp store, and other features
are still under development. The report also covered the ongoing discussions
about Cardano Improvement Proposal (CIP)-1694, which focuses on updating
Cardano's governance scheme and tools necessary for Cardano's development.
The report also provided other statistics about Cardano's network, such as 124 projects launched on the network, the creation of 8.11 million native tokens, 7,738 Plutus Scripts written, and 1,225 projects currently under development.
