On May 22nd, the Gala Games project launched GameFi, indicating their collaboration with a poker streaming platform in Las Vegas.
Gala Games introduced "PokerGo Play," a PokerGO Social game on the new Web3 platform. Users can customize and upgrade their players to receive rewards. However, PokerGo will initially implement beta testing in June and plans to fully launch by the end of 2023.

Gala Games is the developer of several Ethereum-based play-to-earn blockchain games. On May 18, Gala developers announced the burning of over 21 billion Gala (GALA) tokens, equivalent to approximately $640 million, following the v2 airdrop of the protocol. In December 2021, Virtue Gaming, a decentralized Ethereum online poker platform, launched a digital poker casino that utilizes cryptocurrencies and a play-to-earn model. The platform is endorsed by Phil Ivey, a World Poker Tour champion and poker celebrity.
In November
2022, the Gala Games token bridge experienced an exploit through an infinite
minting glitch, resulting in an estimated $4.5 million being extracted from its
liquidity pool. Currently, the project is engaged in a $28 million litigation
with pNetwork, the cross-chain interoperability bridge used by Gala Games on
the BNB Smart Chain, over the alleged involvement of pNetwork in the incident.
