Terra Luna Classic community passes majority voting (90.5% support) for proposal 12033 that requires developers to complete KYC identity verification.

Previously anyone could create a code without the need to show their identity. Anyone could attack the chain through malicious software or other forms of attacking. Attackers’ names were unknown.

All layer 1 developers of Terra Luna Classic now require to do KYC to a third party provider in order to create codes on Terra Luna Classic blockchain.

According to a post on X developers will remain anonymous but they need to send their information to a third party in order to track their identity. The supporters of this proposal want LUNC developers to be accountable and honest to provide protection from malicious threat actors.
