Ethereum developers launched Shanghai-Capella, or Shapela, which will be upgraded on the Goerli testnet network today and will be the last big rehearsal ahead of the launch on the mainnet scheduled for April.

This upgrading will be launch at epoch 162304 on Goerli, after
testing the upgrade on Goerli, they plan to deploy it on mainnet next month. If
everything is going to be a perfect as smoothly.
The main
feature of the Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) 4895 upgrade is
intended to allow validators to withdraw ETH at Staking on the main
network. This feature was turned off
during Ethereum's switch to proof-of-stake in September 2022 to ensure a safe
transition.
Goerli will
be the third and last test network used by developers to test shapella
upgrades. The developers have also planned three additional improvements with
the goal of optimizing gas costs for certain activities with the Shapella
upgrade.
