UTC on April 12, 2023. Since the upgrade, as of April 19, 1.08
million ETH have been withdrawn (worth $2.262 billion). On the other hand, 571,980
ETH have been deposited since the upgrade. Total ETH that are being deposited is 17.32 million
ETH. Number of ETH validators are 486,630. ETH’s value locked in DeFi total
$59.08 billion.
Since the Shanghai Upgrade that enabled the ability to withdraw staked ETH completed, there is no sign of negative impact. Proof-of-stake mechanism in the Ethereum network remains strong and stable.
