A South Korean media "Hankyung" reported that Chief Judge Yun Chan-Young of the 12th Criminal
Division of the Seoul Southern District Court ordered to freeze
Kwon’s assets as well as prohibits them from selling.
These assets including Do Kwon's Galleria Foret apartment
complex in Seoul, a Korean officetel and many imported cars. Kwon’s financial
assets, such as securities, bank deposits and cryptocurrency stored in personal
accounts on virtual currency exchanges.
According to South Korean law. Suspects
will be barred from selling proceeds or property from crimes until their verdict
is confirmed. On March 23, Do Kwon was arrested in Montenegro and later charged
with forging passport document. Now both South Korean and US authorities are
seeking extradition.
