Durov, the founder of Telegram, was detained after his private jet landed
at Le Bourget Airport on a flight from Azerbaijan.
The arrest stems from serious
allegations related to the misuse of the Telegram app.
French media sources report that the
issues are linked to a lack of moderation on the platform, which has allegedly
facilitated criminal activities, including money laundering, drug trafficking,
and the distribution of pedophilic content.
As of the latest updates Durov is
expected to appear in court soon to face the charges.
